Sinopsis: Una enfermedad misteriosa y letal azota al mundo entero, el resultado es una tasa de mortalidad catastrófica en la humanidad, y el aumento creciente de ataques todo esto causado por muertos vivientes.
En Japón, varios estudiantes de secundaria y una enfermera se han unido para escapar del "Fujimi High School" poco después de haber sido atacados por los zombies. El grupo ahora intenta averiguar quién o qué fue el responsable de esta plaga, y mientras tanto, tratan de sobrevivir al Apocalipsis presente.
La historia es narrada inicialmente a través de los ojos de Takashi Komuro, uno de los estudiantes que han sobrevivido en el brote inicial.
